Whangarei Emergency Organisation Under Way
The newly-formed Whangarei Emergency Precautions Organisation is already functioning. The Mayor (Mr W. Jones), who is head of the organisation, said this today. The chairmen of the various committees who are to take charge of the precautions urjder various headings were appointed last week. Already several of the committees have been set up, and the whole organisation would be complete by the end of Il ie week, Mr Jones said. Those committees already formed are ready for action Immediately, should the necessity arise.
