Pipe Band Dance Again Popular
Pouring rain on Wednesday night kept many Pipe Band dance fans away from the function held in the Parochial Hall. However, everyone present voted it a distinct success. Pipers were in attendance in full uniform* played a selection and a waltz. Ces Wright’s Band kept the dancers in merry mood, and Mr H, Haynes was M.C. Mr J. McCluskey president of the band, thanked patrons for their attendance.
The Highland Fling was performed during an interval in the dancing by Miss Jean McKenzie, while Miss Joan Cochrane .and Miss V. Lilley danced an Irish Jig. Winners of the Monte Carlo were Mr and Miss Swinbourne. The ladies’ committee served the supper.
