Memorial In London To Dominion Founders

[Per Press Association. Copyright.! WELLINGTON, This Day.

A proposal to erect a national historical memorial in the heart of London to the founders of New Zealand was referred to yesterday by Mr D. Hope Johnston, of London, who came to the Dominion five and a half months ago to seek official approval of the plan and if possible find a New Zealand resident prepared to donate the memorial.

Mr Johnston, who is leaving for London tomorrow said the Government had approved of the proposal but he had been unable to find a New Zealander prepared to undertake the considerable outlay involved. He hoped, however, on his return to London to find someone who would make the completion of the memorial possible.
