Improving on their team work of the previous week, when they lowered the Fipiwai colours. Whangaruru beat Towai Ramblers 20 to 5. The game was played at Towai. Scorers for Whangaruru were W. Heta (three), Stirling, Taka and Martin. Daniel converted one. For Tnwai. Keogh crossed and Thomassen improved. Absence of a good goal kick prevented Whangaruru’s winning margin from being even greater, four tries scored between the posts going unconverted.
