Pipiwai Combine Better Than Manaia

Last year’s winners in the senior B grade, Pipiwai. pul on 24 in their match against Manaia. whose score was 11. The game was spectacular from the commencement, both sides throwing the ball about and giving the onlookers plenty of thrills. As Is usual, Pipiwai had r number oj vociferous barrackors on the sideline. and those, both men and women. won- 1 urging on the players, many of whom wore husbands of the fair supporters. As a team Pipiwai wore soon to better advantage than their opponents, the blue team combining well under the load of the Shortland brothers. Try-getters for Pipiwai were P. Wellington (2). G. Neha <2). 1. Shortland and. R. Shortland, while P. Wad converted three of these. Two penalty goals kicked by C. Paul and an obstruction try . converted by C. Hutchinson, made up Manaia’s points.
