Hora Horn 9 (trios by D. North, T. Bateman and P. Webster) gained a one-point victory over City 8 (try by Muir, who also converted and kicked a penalty). Kamo 6 (tries by Dickey and Snell) created a surprise by beating Old Boys 0. In a game confined to the forwards, Kamo held the advantage, their opponents losing many opportunities owing to poor handling and lack of finish.
