Onerahi

The Onerahi Women’s Institute held its monthly meeting in the town hall last Monday with a fairly good attendance. The president. Mrs Dyer, presided. It was decided to change the date of the dance to avoid clashing with the fixture to be held by the rowing club, Whangarei. A report was read by Mrs Cartwright, delegate to the half-yearly council meeting of the district federation. The roll call was the oldest thing we have in the home.

A competition was won by Mrs E. Hodgson. Members were that all entries for the Centennial exhibition close on September 1. Institute songs brought to a close a pleasant afternoon. Hostesses were Mesdames Whimp. Pulman. Drake and Cartwright. jfc A * <<
