Kaikohe Town Board Chairman Resigns

[Special to "Northern Advocate ”] KAIKOHE. This Day. , “I find that the duties of chairman are now becoming a full-time job," said Mr W. Shaw, when tendering his resignation as a member of the Kaikohe Town Board, of which he was chairman, at the monthly meeting. Mr Shaw, who has been on the board for 15 years, thanked the staff and members for the co-operation which had been accorded him while he held office as chairman. S On behalf of members. Mr C. E. Blow said that the work which Mr Shaw had done was appreciated in the town. He proposed Mr W. H. Knudsen, deputy-chairman, for the chairmanship.

As there were no other nominations, Mr Knudsen was declared elected.
