Bargain Stores' Staff Celebrates 12th Birthday Of Firm

In the Parochial Hall last Saturday evening, the staff of Bargain Stores Ltd. celebrated the twelfth birthday of the firm with a social.

It was the gift of the management, and during the evening Mr. G. H. Panckhurst, on behalf of the staff, thanked Mr. Tudehope for such an enjoyable evening. The hail was decorated with palms and dahlias.

In the lounge, arranged at one end of the hall, card tables were set out, and some members of the party engaged in Mah Jongg. The entire arrangements were in the hands of a committee consisting of Messrs. O. M. Georgeson, N. Leech, J. R. Johnston and Misses A. Price and A. Mcllroy. Dance music was provided by Gocdison’s orchestra.

As M.C.’s Mr. Georgeson and Mr, Leech kept things going at a fine pace. Among those present were:
