Whangarei Heads Road Will Not Be Overlooked
—HON. R. SEMPLE
“We are building scenic roads everywhere in New Zealand so people car enjoy the beauty spots of their own homeland,” said Hon R. Semple, Minipier of Public Works, commenting on the narrowness and poor surface of the Whangarei Heads roads over which he travelled as far as Parua Bay yesterday. “This is a beautiful road,, which will become more popular as the years go on. It will not be overlooked in the big scheme of things. “We do not intend to keep narrow roads, paticularly on pleasure routes. “Our aim is the maximum degree of safety.”
