Desperate Effort To Crush Stubborn China
(Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, January 23.
Japan is preparing a desperate effort to crush China, says the Hongkong correspondent of the “Daily Herald.”
She is pouring in enormous reinforcements and. stationing armies for mass offensives on all fronts, supported by bombings of all cities irrespective of size. Meanwhile, Marshal Chi'ang Kaishek declares Japan is increasingly embedding herself in a quagmire and China’s victory comes, daily nearer. His appeal for additional men and money met with a response from all parts of China.
