Democracies Must Co-operate, Says Mr. Bruce
SYDNEY. January 23.
If peace were to be maintained, and the ideals for which the democracies stood were to endure, then the democracies would have to co-operate, said Mr S. M. Bruce, Australian High Commissioner in London, on arrival by the Mariposa today. Australia thus had an important part to play, Mr Bruce continued. He was quite sure that the people would rise to whatever heights circumstances might demand in the future. Mr Bruce said his most important immediate engagement would be with the Australian Defence Council at Melbourne on Wednesday.
