Kamo’s Fighting Finish For Win
SENIOR B
Highlight of the Kamo—Maungatapere game on the latter’s ground was the brilliant innings of Ball. With crily a few minutes to play and half-a-dozen runs behind, he used the “long handle” to effect. Despite a disastrous start of five wickets for nine runs, MJaungatapere struggled on to 92. Lester was unplayable, his six wickets costing only nine runs. With the exception of Kessel and Quigg 1 , Kamo's opening bats went cheaply, and it was left to the tailenders to pass the score. Teesdale’s spins had the batsmen badly puzzled and but for Ball’s stand Kamo would have boon hard-pressed to play out time. Scores: Maungatapere.—W.
