Mrs. Flora Fallon
OBITUARY
One of the best known Northland pioneers, Mrs Flora Fallon,lpassed away at the residence of her’ daughter, Mrs H. Parkin, Maunu, yesterday. Mrs Fallon was 84 years ofr age. , Born in Scotland, Mrs Fallon landed in Auckland on January 2, 1863.- In 1874 she married the late Mr Harding Hawken, and lived at Maungatapere and later at Maunu, where Mr Hawken farmed. After the death of her husband, Mrs Hawken remarried about 30 years ago. Mr Fallon died some years ago. t Of Mrs Fallon’s 10 children, eight pioneers, Mrs Flora Fallon, passed laysdn, Papakura, ’ Mrs J. Teesdale, Whatitiri, Mrs J. S, Woolley, Whangarei; Mrs D. Kerr, Whatitiri, Mrs W; CroUcher, Whatitiri, Mrs H. Parkin, Maunu, Mr Chisholm Hawken, Kokopu, and Mr 'Harding - ' Hawken, Maunu. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon, leaving Mrs Parkin’s residence for the Maunu cemetery.
