Railway Officers Retire

[Specie/ to “Northern A<R)Oca|e”l WELLINGTON, This Day. Four of the leading district traffic managers of the New Zealand Railways will retire on January 1. They are Messrs H. C. Couch (Auckland). D, St. George (Wanganui). W. A. Woodger (Wellington) and E. S. Bnttenden (Christchurch), representing in the aggregate nearly 200 years of service. The four were farewelled at Wellington by the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Railways, and the staff last Friday. The. Minister paid a high tribute to the valuable services rendered by the four retiring managers.
