Feilding Reports A Burglary
[Per Press Association. Copyright .l FEILDING, This Day.
Feilding’s long immunity from burglaries was broken over the weekend, when the head office of Community Stores was entered and the safe removed bodily, while it is understood the tobacco stocks were also raided.
The safe contained about £2B, together with valuable business and private papers. Fortunately, the manager had banked on Saturday morning, otherwise the loss would have been much heavier.
