Taipuha School Break-Up
The 1933 school year was fittingly concluded at Taipuha on Friday evening when one of the largest crowds seen in the hall for many years assembled to thoroughly enjoy a twohour concert staged by the children of the local school. From every point of view the function proved to be a pronounced success and the bearing of the children upon the stage was a tribute to the energy and ability of the headmaster, Mr L. G. Chaplin. fc From the opening chorus to the final item the production went with a swing, the programme being staged with a celerity that spoke volumes for Ihc organisation behind the scenes. Certificates Presented At the conclusion of the concert, the certificates won in the Sweet Pea Club, the Calf Club and the home garden competitions were presented by the chairman of the committee, Mr H. S. McCarroll.
In paying a tribute to the children for their performance, Mr McCarroll eulogised the service Mr Chaplin was rendering to the school and said that the result of his work was evident in the remarkably fine display given by the children that evening. Christmas Tree for Children
