(Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 18. The Dundas Handicap at the Rosehill Racing Club’s December meeting yesterday was won by Delmestor, from sixteen others. The Carlingford Handicap was won by the New Zealandbred Troy, with Red Rosebud third. Details:— Dundas Handicap, of 250 sovs.; seven furlongs.—Delmestor, 9.6. 1; Let Slip, 8.2, 2; Might Not, 7.3, 3. Seventeen started. Three-quarters of a length; a length. Time: 1.254. Carlingford Handicap, of 200 sovs.; one mile—Troy (N.Z.-bred), 7.11, 1; Sailmaker, 8.13, 2; Red Rosebud (N.Z.bred), 7.9, 3. Six started A head; two lengths. Time: 1.401. RETURNED TO SOUTH. Linguist disappointed in her three races in the North Island, and she is to be returned South. With the experience she Iras recently gained, she should be capable of better exhibitions in future hurdle events. LEFT OUT OF RACE. Great Quex bolted on both days at the Woodville meeting. On the first day he was pulled up before he had gone far, but on the second day Ira finally got away with his jockey and the field was despatched without him.
