’Change Quieter
'[Special to “Northern Advocate”! AUCKLAND, This Day. After the spell of activity in the past few days, conditions were quieter on the Auckland Stock Exchange this morning. Values were-generally steady. In the banking section, Commercials improved to sales at 16/6, and.closed firm on that level. Buyers for Nationals moved up 1/- to £2/9/-, holders asking £2/10/-, while New Zealands were steady. Insurances showed little change, though Nationals were quoted closer between 15/2 and 15/9. Among Australian industrials, Broken Hill Proprietary were firm on yesterday’s improved level, while G. J.'Coles were marked up to buyers £4 2/6, and sellers £4/3/3. Colonial Sugars were down, closing between £47 and £49. There was little interest in Government stocks, quotations showing no definite change.
