Maungakaramea Horse Fair
Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons, Limited, in conjunction with the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, held a horse fair at Maungakaramea on Thursday. There was a full yarding of both broken and unbroken horses, but these were dull of sale. Unbroken ponies made from £3 to £3 10/-; unbroken light harness horses, £6 10/to £10; good heavy farm horses, £2O to £29; lighter sorts, £l3 10/- to £l7; hack and harness horses, £5 to £l6; aged horses, £3 to £5,
