Dalgety’s Report
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report a good yarding when fully the advertised number of cattle came forward at their Waipu sale on Thursday. All the cattle were sold but the advertised ewes did not find a purchaser. Prices were fully up to late rates. Good springing cows, £6 to £6 7/6; good springing heifers, £6 5/- to £6 17/6; more backward sorts, £5 to £6 7/6; 18-month steers, £5 5/to £5 10/-; twb-year steers, £5 15/to £6 5/-; medium fat cows, £5 6/to £6; yearling heifers, £2 10/- to £3 4/-; yearling sters, £3 15/- to £4 1/-; cows with calves at foot, £3 17/6 to £5 16/-; boner cows, £3 7/- to £4 2/-; boner bulls, £4 12/6 to £6.
