(Received 11.0 a.m.) WASHINGTON, August 28. The degree to which inter-party dissensions are making a breach in the ranks of the Democrats is indicated by the argument between the Secretary of the Interior, Mr H. L. Ickes, and Senator Glass, proponent andl opponent respectively of the New Deal. Mr Ickes condemned Senator Glass for the number of Government grants he seeks in spite of bitter opposition to the grant policy. In justifying his request for grants, Senator Glass said .Virginia paid the taxes from which the grants came.
