What Is Guaranteed Price? 2d. Increase Mentioned
I Special to “Northern Advocate.”! WELLINGTON, This Day. WITHOUT DENYING OR CONFIRMING A REPORT THAT THERE ' WAS TO BE AN INCREASE OF 2D A LB. IN THE GUARANTEED PRICE FOR DAIRY PRODUCE FOR THE CURRENT SEASON, THE MINISTER OF MARKETING, THE HON. W. NASH, IN AN INTERVIEW TODAY, SAID HE COULD NOT IMAGINE HOW ANYONE COULD ASSUME THAT THIS WOULD BE THE CASE, AS NO ONE WAS IN POSSESSION OF THE COMMITTEE’S RECOMMENDATIONS EXCEPT HIMSELF, AND EVEN HE WAS STILL ENGAGED IN PERUSING THE SCHEME. He said that the matter had not yet been considered by Cabinet but it was probable that: Cabinet would discuss it this week. The possibility is that the Minister will make the .announcement of the guaranteed price in the form of a statement on the floor of the House.
