Social Security Bill to Appear On Thursday or Friday
[Special To “ Northern Advocate “J WELLINGTON. This Day. THE CONCLUSION OF AN ALL-DAY MEETING OF THE CABINET YESTERDAY. THE PRIME MINISTER, MR SAVAGE. SAID THAT THE RILL GIVING EFFECT TO THE GOVERNMENT’S SOCIAL SECURITY PROPOSALS SHOULD MAKE ITS APPEARANCE IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES BY FRIDAY AT THE LATEST. "We have spent practically the full day discussing the social security legislation." Mr Savage said, "and everything is in readiness for the introduction of the Bill. There will be a caucus of Government members tomorrow morning, when an opportunity will he taken to run the rule over the Bill in its final form." Mr Savage said he hoped the Bill would be ini reduced on Thursday or Fridaj’. so that members of Parliament generally would have lime to peruse it over the week-end. preparatory to the opening of the second reading debate next Tuesday,
