Meat Trade Supports Research
Research work constitutes one 'Of the principal considerations of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board.
In his report prepared for submission to the annual meeting of delegates, to be held on August 25 at Wellington, the chairman, Mr T. A. Duncan, states that close contact has been kept with research workers in England, a contribution of £IOOO having been m'ade during the year to the Low Temperature Research Station at Cambridge, England. A further grant of £3OO has been made to the Cawthrcn Institute, while £IOO had been granted to Massey Agricultural College. A grant of £IOO has been made towards research into hydatids.
Orphanage Donation. As a gesture of appreciation of the effort being made to establish an orphanage at Tikipunga. Lodge Whangarei. No. 102, last evening voted £5 5 - to the orphanage fund.
