Messrs J. A. S. Mac Kay and H. L. Younger are to represent the Whangarei Hospital Board at the conference of Northland local bodies in Kaikohe on September 1. After 23 years of service as gardener to the Whangarei Hospital Board, Mr G. W. Miller has resigned his post. At the board’s monthly meeting yesterday Mr Miller’s resignation was accepted with regret. The Australian cricketer. A. G. Chipperfield underwent an operation for appendicitis on Friday, and is now recovering, says the Dundee correspondent of the Exchange Telegraph Company.
