There was only a medium entry of fat sheep at the Frankton stock sale yesterday. Two trucks of prime wethers,. ex Huntervillq. averaged 33/11. Ox beef was penned in good numbers, with competition firm at recent quotations. Fat Jersey and boner cows were also penned in large numbers, with prices at recent firm rates. There was a smaller yarding of fat pigs than last week. Baconers were again in keen demand, and the top price of £4 9/ was secured for all pens of topweight pigs.

Fat Sheep.—Heavy fat wethers. 34/ to 35/9; medium, 30/ to 33/3; light. 27/6 to 29/3; medium fat ewes, 21/9 to 23/3; light. >lB/ to 19/6: medium fat lambs. 20/ to 21/3; store wethers, very light condition. 15/.

Cattle.—Medium heavy fat steers. £l2 to £l2 10/; medium fat heifers. £8 10/ to £9 51; medium fat cows, £7 5/ to £8 2/; fat Jersey cows, £6 5/ to £6 15/; others, £4 10/ to £5 15/; medium Jersey heifers, yearlings, £2 10/ to £2 15/.
