Excellent Demand At Ruakaka
The clearing sale conducted by Walter Wakelin on account of Mr D, H. McCathie at Ruakaka yesterday proved an outstanding success and probably one of the best sales held in the district for a long time. The herd of 75 cows which came forward
in excellent condition met with, -a great demand from a large attendance
' of buyers, a good proportion of cattle : going to (hr Waikato and. King Coun- | Ivy. All the sound cows realised from | £8 to £ll 5 - and. made the excel- ■ lent average of a shade over £9 per head. Several unsound cows made up i 1:0 Red Poll bulls made (rj guini eas and 10 guineas. A pedigree Shortj horn bull 8t guineas; two-year-old i empty Shorthorn heifers. £4; Short- | horn heifer calves. £2 4-; r.hreey ear-old fat steers. £lO 10/-. I A total clearance resulted.
