Television through the medium of the ordinary cable used for the telephone is the latest invention announced by the Research Department of the German Post Office. Experiments carried out in Berlin have proved successful. Pictures sent to a house a mile away through the ordinary telephone cable came out clearly and without the disturbance usually found in districts where there arc tramcars.
