Drunken Driver Fined £2O At Auckland
[Specie! To “Northern Advocate"] AUCKLAND. This Day. Pursued by another motorist and brought back to the main highway last night at Ellerslie, where he was arrested, Clifford Henry Roberts, aged 24, a printer, appeared in the Police Court to-day to plead guilty to a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor car. There was a further charge of driving without a license. This was also admitted by Roberts, who was fined £2O, anct for not having a license he had to pay a further £l. The magistrate ordered that no license to drive should be issued to Roberts for 12 months.
