This Day, Lost in dense bush for 24 hours near Tarawera. on the Napier-Taupo Road, a 12-year-old. boy, George Fiveash, had. an unenviable experience on Saturday night. The boy was a member of a party which had gone in search of moss. The boy failed to return to their motor-car. Search parties from neighbouring sawftiills and a Public Works Department camp scoured the bush without avail until nightfall. Shortly after 10 o'clock on Sunday morning the boy came out of the bush five miles away from where he had been lost. He was unharmed. and Mated that lie had wandered, in the bush, reaching a creek, sleeping there until morning, A deer had passed not far from him, and lie followed its Lacks to safety.
