SPLENDID SALE FOR SHEEP AT FEILDING
[Per Press Association. Copyright.! FEILDING, This Day. The first sale of the New Year at Peilding yesterday resulted in a splendid clearance of a yarding of 10,000 sheep. The demand, was much better than expected owing to the dry weather and prices were in every way satisfactory. Quotations: — Fat sheep.—Wethers, 24/- to 28/1; ewes, 14/- to 17/9; lambs, 20/- to 20/3; hoggets, 27/- to 27/6.
Store sheep.—Black-faced lambs, 16/4 to 18/-; white-faced wether lambs, 14/to 20/2; ewe lambs. 22/4 to 36/4; twotooth wethers, 21/- to 23/3; two-tooth ewes, 32/-; mixed aged ewes, 17/-. Store cattle. —Cows, £2 5/- to £4 0/1; yearling heifers, £1 17/6; yearling steers, £4 10/-; three-year Shorthorn steers, £9 7/6; bulls, £3 to £6 7/6. Fat cattle. —Cows, £5 to £8; heifers, £7 15/-; to £8; runners, £4 2/6 to £4 5/-; vealers, £2 17/6 to £3 2/6. Dairy cattle.—Springing heifers, £4 5/-; springing cows, £4 to £6; cows in milk, £5.
