Radio Administration At Shanghai Walks Out
(Received 10 a.m.) (“Times” Cable.) LONDON, January 6. 1 The Shanghai correspondent of “The Times” says the employees of the Chinese radio administration have walked out, under orders from Chunking, and the Japanese have taken ever full control of the service, which is being operated by Japanese. There is no censorship on radio messages. but Japanese censors have arrived at the cable offices. The Japanese censors in the cable offices have been drawn from the Department of Communication of the Army and from the communications section of the Japanese Embassy. They have been allotted rooms adjoining the Instrument room. The Japanese Embassy spokesman at Shanghai says that censorship of cables and wdreless is operating. Press correspondents will not be informed of alterations made in their despatches.
