Another Air Raid On Hankow

(Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, January 6. Despatches from Shanghai state that Japanese bombing and fighting aeroplanes raided the Hankow broadcasting station and aerodrome and also dropped bombs on the poorer quarters of the city, starting fires. According to a Tokio despatch, the' Domei News Agency says the British Military Attache, Major-General Piggott, asked the Japanese Minister of War to convey to the Emperor, who is a Field-Marshal of the British Army, New Year greetings to the Japanese A.rmy on behalf of the officers and men of the British Army. The British Ambassador to Tokio, Sir Robert Craigie, called on the Japanese Foreign Minister, Mr Hirota. THe reason has not been divulged.
