Its official title will be the “Auckland Sun Group.” and it was formally brought into being al a meeting held last night. The mooting was I convened in response to .advertise|merits and to invitations. Next Sunday will see the first official outing of the club, a secluded spot on the lop of the cliff to the left of Titirangi Beach having been decided upon as the first nudist colonial settlement. Seven Men, Two Women. Nine persons, seven of whom wore men and two women, attended last night’s meeting. Five of the men were middle-aged, one being a carpenter, one a shop salesman, another a salesman. while two ethers were an author and a retired merchant. An unemployed youth, aged about 19, and another youth made up the male assortment, while (he two women were both typistes employed in city firms, cno being middle-aged, and the ether aged about 22. The organiser and promoter of the club stated that the primary purpose was to establish a nudist colony near the city where members could, sunbathe , partake of physical exercise and play games with medicine balls. The club was formally established and officers elected. According to the "gamser, many inquiries have been received from the Waikowhai district for the establishment of a colony there which some members thought would be a suitable locality. Further investigations are being made, and the organiser will report to the next meeting. Winter activities of the club will include ping-pong games under sunray lamps in a private hall, and also wrestling matches for the women. Members did not favour bridge, owing to its lack of action.
