Hikurangi Popular With Holiday-Makers
During the holiday season there has been' a general exodus of residents from Hikurangi, many going far afield, and others spending the Christmas break at near-by beaches. Hikurangi, however, is far from being a deserted township. Holidaymakers are there in force. While
several are guests in private houses, .>'■ others have sought hotel accommodation. i/While, with one exception, its complement of “permanents” are all away on holiday, the boardinghouse is filled almost to capacity withf casual guests.
