Charge Of Not Keeping To Left Fails

On a charge of failing to keep to the left hand side of the road, Charles Schon, agent, of Whangarei, appeared before Mr G. N. Morris, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court this morning. After evidence had been heard from various witnesses the case was dismissed.

The charge arose cut of an accident on the main road to Kerikeri, near Towai, w’hen defendant had collided with George Joseph Webster, sales manager of New Plymouth. The magistrate remarked that there was insufficient evidence as to where the cars were at the time of the impact. He did not think there was evidence upon which to convict defendant, and consequently the case was dismissed.

Mr R. K. Trimmer appeared for the defence.
