[Special To “Northern Advocate’’] AUCKLAND, This Day. There was an attendance of 12,000 against 9000 on the first day last year, at the Takapuna Jockey Club’s spring

meeting at Ellerslic on Saturday. The totalisator handled £43,957, compared with £31,351, an increase of £12.606. There were some exciting finishes and some excellent dividends.
