SYDNEY, December 9

Three children, aged from one to 7 years and their father, John William Woods, a well-known New South Wales grazier, are dead, and their mother is in a critical condition as a result of a tragedy today at Woodrow Park, near Mittagong.

The police believe the father attacked his family with an axe and then committed suicide with a razor. Woods recently was worried by a severe drought.
