Leaders in the Lucifer Club contest, London, are: Locke (South Africa), 3 up; Garland (India), all square; Nichoil (Shanghai), 1 down; Rigg (Hongkong) and Jones (N.S.W.), 2 down. Tropical rain fell throughout the day. Locke returned a brilliant 72.
A Melbourne message says that, owing to illness, Miss Mona MacLeod has been compelled to forfeit to Mrs Sloan Morpeth in the final of the women's golf championship. Mrs Morpeth thus becomes the champion. The final of the New South Wales women’s golf championship was won by Mrs Clive Robinson, who defeated Mrs R. V. Pennefather, 2 and 2.
