DALGETY’S YARDING AT WAIOTIRA Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having had a yarding of outstanding quality at Waitotira yesterday. A clearance was effected under' exceptionally keen competition at an advance on late rates. Values:—Good quality HolsteinShorthorn cross heifers, £4 10/ to £5 2/6; good quality Jersey springing heifers and cows, £4 to £4 17/6; herd Hereford bulls, £4 2/ to £4 17/; stud Hereford bulls to 10 h gns; fat Shorthorn cows, £5 10/ to £5 17/; forward store cows, £2 7/ to £3 8/; boner cows, 20/ to 35/; a line of particularly choice and well grown yearling Hereford steers on account of Mr D. McCracken of Matakohe made to £4 16/; 3 and 4-year-old Hereford steers, to £6B/; yearling Jersey heifers, £2 8/ to £2 17/; 18-months Shorthorn heifers, 30/ ,to 40/; grade Jersey bulls to £2 to £3 17/6. A large yarding oft all classes of stock came forward and changed hands under the hammer at prices on a par with late rates at Waiotira state the N.A. farmers’ Co-op., Ltd. Quotations. —Dairy cows, close to profit, to £4 2/6; backward sorts, £2 15/ to £3 10/; fat ox, to £9 2/; fat cows and heifers, to £5 5/; store and boner cows, to £1 11/; 2-year-old empty Shorthorn heifers, to £2 18/; boner bulls, to £2 11/; 4-year-old store bullocks, to £6 5/; 3-year-old fat and forward bullocks, to £6 7/.
