AMERICA’S PACIFIC MAIL. (Received 10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, October 21. Pan-American Airways was the only tenderer today for the post office contract to carry mails from the United States to China via Honolulu and Manila. The company asked for two dollars per statute mile for a specified load of 800 lbs and one dollar per lb for an excess load for each 1000 miles. The company expects the contract to be awarded shortly, and to inaugurate the service by November 15.
