Denby, the second and final round of the captain’s trophy was played. Best scores were D. J. Thomson 2 down, Sheen 4 down, Buckley 6 down. These three players are'now even on the two rounds, and a playoff will be necessary. PAPAROA~RESULTS j The first roundl for the Captain's Prize, played by the ladies of the Paparoa Golf Club during the week-end resulted:—Mrs. Cornish beat Miss M. Sutherland, 7 and 5; Mrs. E. G. Aickin beat Mips Bryers, 2 and 1; Miss Cornish won by default from Mrs. Reed. The results of the first round Of the men’s competition for the President’s Trophy were:—Bell beat Cornish, 7 and 5; Padget beat Reed at the 19th; Foster beat Dodds, 7 and 5; Fenwick beat Gaughan, 3 and 1; E.
