BROKEN RIBS
NEPIA INJURED. MATCH AGAIN NEWCASTLE. (Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, August 13. The X-ray examination of Nepia’s injury disclosed that he has two broken ribs. In the event of the Maoris being unable to sail by the Marama on Thursday, arrangements will be made for another match between them and a fresh New South Wales team on Saturday. The Maori Rugby team to play against Newcastle today wall comprise: Hemi, Phillips. Ngaio, McDonald, Chase, H. Harrison, Mellish, Mataira, Whiu. Cooper, Smith, White ly. G. Harrison, Rodgers and Brokerick. The reserves will be Reedy anr Kawe. PROPOSED AUCKLAND MATCH. A match between the Maori Rugby team and Auckland, set down for Saturday next at Eden Park, cannot be played, owing to the Maoris being held I up in Australia. The game, however,! is likely to be played on the following I Saturday.
