The Metropolitan Trotting Club’s meeting is being held today in fine weather before a good attendance. The course is in good order. Results:— Improvers’ Handicap, of 200 sovs; two miles. —(10) Ganton, scr (Shaw), 1; (5) Sandy N., scr (Motz), 2; (9) Kotinga (T. McKenzie), 3. Flotsam -was scratched. Won by a head. Time—--4.33 4-5. Dash Handicap, of 200 sovs; one mile.—(2) Homeward, scr (Fraser). 1; (10) Somerby, 12yds (Coddy), 2; (11) Logan’s Pride, 12yds (J. Walsh), 3. Master Roy and Sure were scratched. Won by three lengths. Time—2.9 4-5. King George Handicap, of 500 sovs; two miles.—(l) Tempest, scr (J. Fraser), 1; (1) Wrecker, scr, 2; (7) Red Shadow, 60yds, 3. Blue Mountain was scratched. Won by a length and a half. Time—4.23 4-5. The first and second horses were coupled. Belgium Handicap, of 250 sovs; two miles.—(s) Guy Junior, 36yds ' (M. Holmes), 1; (10) Jolly Wave, 24yds, (J. Bell, jnr.), 2; (3) Llewellyn’s Pride, 48yds, (T. McKendry), 3. Dolly Derby was scratched. Won by two lengths. Time. 4.26 3-5.
