OUT ON STRIKE
NEW YORK RELIEF WORKERS. (Received 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 10. The long smouldering dissatisfaction with the Government administration of relief manifested itself today, when the Central Labour Council ordered 15,000 union men, employed in Federal relief enterprises, in New York, to strike as a protest against the wage Although the strike, which is sanctioned by the American Federation of Labour, will be confined, for the present, to New York, there are indications that the movement is likely to spread to the relief workers in the key cities throughout the country.
