GALLI-CURCI'S GOITRE
SUCCESSFUL OPERATION. (Received 10 a.m.) CHICAGO, August 10. Surgeons today removed a goitre from the throat of Madame GalliCurci, the famous diva. The goitre pushed her windpipe an inch and three-quarters to the left. The surgeons believe the operation will considerably increase the tone and volume of the singer’s voice.
