PIGS AND DAIRY CATTLE. ! VALUES FIRM. Walter Wakelin reports holding a sale at Kamo yesterday. A medium yarding of pigs Came forward and prices remained firm. We also offered, on account of Mr J. W. Ogle, Kamo, his herd of Jersey and Jersey-cross dairy cows. The cattle came forward in good condition and met with keen competition. Cows in milk and close to profit were in most demand, while the more backward sorts found buyers at satisfactory prices. Quotations: —Best Jersey and Jer-sey-cross cows and heifers made from £4 to £5 9/; Jersey heifers, to £5 .5/; backward and inferior cows and heifers, £2 to £3 10/; one 4-year Jersey bull, £5. On account of other clients; Good quality springing heifers, £3 5/ to £5 2/6; Jersey cows, £2 to £3 10/; Shorthorn cows, £1 15/ to £3 10/; boner cows, 10 /to £1; yearling Jersey heifers, 15/ to £l. Pigs.—Baconers, £2 15/ to £3; heavy porkers, £2 to £2 4/; medium porkers, £1 12/ to £1 16/; light and unfinished porkers, £1 4/ to £1 11/; stores, to £1; slips, 13/ to 16/6; weaners, 9/ to 13/; Large White /breeding sows, to £2 14/.
