DAIRY CATTLE CLEARANCE
PAPAROA DISPERSAL. ' MR E. A. CLIFF’S HERD. A clearance of dairy cattle on behalf of Mr E. A. Cliff was conducted at Paparoa yesterday by the North Auckland Farmers’ Co‘-op., Ltd. Ninety cows and 100 heifers were offered to a fairly good bench of buyers. The top price for a cow was £7, but several others made from £5 10/ to £6 15/. The average for the whole herd was £4 1/6. A line of 3-year-old heifers averaged £5.2/6; 2-year-old heifers made from £3 15/ to £4 11/; 3-year-old Shorthorn heifers, £3 18/; 2-year-old Shorthorn heifers, £2 10/ to £3 8/; breeding sows sold particularly well; best sows, close to farrowing, made £5 to £6 12/ jothers, £3 10/ to £4 15/,
