Six charges of stealing postal packets containing postal notes of a total value of £5/18/10 were preferred against William John Latimer, aged 39, married, a Post and Telegraph Department official, who appeared in the Invercai’gill Police Court. Accused pleaded guilty to all charges and was remanded to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was allowed of £ 100 and one surety of £ 100.
